Andrew was appointed to lead on behalf of regional property company negotiations on the finance and development of community regeneration partnership initiative with Sunderland City Council.

The Pennywell Community Shopping Centre – In partnership with a local land owner and Sunderland City Council, the project created a viable community focal point which provided accommodation for relocated 6 local retailers, a GP led healthcare centre, new supermarket to form a new community hub at a cost of £5.00million.

Additional projects now include extended primary school, local enterprise hub and youth centre. The project features and is commended in the 2001 Joseph Rowntree Foundation Study ‘Retailing, sustainability and neighbourhood regeneration’.
